Before, I never really liked to think about Elena being with anyone else, especially Damon. Now that the 3rd season has started, I guess Elena and Damon have grown up a little more both as characters and people, and I like them as close friends, and Damon as the protector. I think that if Stefan were to stay with Klaus forever THAN Damon and Elena would be good together.**Spoiler Alert: However, in the past few episodes Stefan has come back and ditched Klaus making him spend more time with Damon and Elena. After Stefan heard that Damon and Elena kissed, he had come to his senses that he really did hurt Elena when he left, but now she is slowely moving on. I want Elena to at least keep Stefan somewhere in her life, and not just as a memory.
