‘Vampire Diaries’: Elena Needs To Be With Damon Not Stefan

Elena chose Stefan over Damon into be her lover in the final minutes of last night’s ‘Vampire Diaries’ season finale, but she chose the wrong man for all the wrong reasons!
Here’s the bottom line about Elena: she hates to hurt ANYONE! She’s such a mush-ball she even has stood up to and developed feelings of affection for evil original vampire, Klaus, who tried to kill her!

Elena is also a girl with serious martyrdom issues. How many times has she offered to sacrifice herself to save someone else – her sister, her brother, Stefan. So if she’s willing to sacrifice her life to protect someone she loves AND she hates to hurt anyone’s feelings, no wonder she’s willing to choose the Salvatore brother, who she thinks needs her the most – Stefan – even if she doesn’t love him as much as his bro – Damon.

Elena’s love choice in my opinion was a sympathy decision. She feels obligated to Stefan. He was her first vampire love. He’s been through hell and more, being compelled to go back to evil, human-killing vampire ways by the original vampire Elijah. Elena, believes that Stefan NEEDS her more and that he’ll be more hurt by being rejected by her, than will Damon.

So Elena is sacrificing her own feelings of deep and erotic attraction to Damon, because she is such a good girl, who is willing to put herself last.

But of course, it’s a huge mistake. Yes she does love Stefan. Elena is a genuine loving young woman and she has deep feeling for Stefan but I’d guess that these have become more like love for a brother or best friend feelings than love for a longterm lover.

The problem is as we all know; you really can’t have a whole-hearted long term love affair with your guy best friend. Bella learned that in Twilight when she had to make her equally tough choice to commit to Edward over Jacob.

Elena, no matter how much you deny it, you NEED to be with the brother that you are passionately attracted to and long to be with – if only your guilt wasn’t holding you back.

Elena, you must get over your enormous and self destructive guilt trip. Especially, now that you’re a vampire with all eternity ahead of you – you must be with your real true love and the brother you’re passionately and erotically attracted to! And no question about it – it’s Damon.

What do you think, VD Lovers?

‘The Vampire Diaries’ filming won’t be stopped by fire that damaged set

Authorities say a fire that damaged a Georgia business used as a backdrop in “The Vampire Diaries” should not affect filming of the television series.

The Covington News reports  that Thursday’s fire struck the interior of the building known on the television show as the Mystic Grill. Fire officials say the facade for the fictional restaurant remains intact.

The building’s interior, which houses law offices, sustained significant damage.

Lawyer Jimmy Alexander said he didn’t have a cost for the damage, but said repairs could possibly reach $1 million considering the building, built in 1890, will now need to comply with current building codes.

Covington police Capt Ken Malcom ays the fire was sparked by electrical wires that came down after a tall delivery truck snagged overhead power lines.

Ian Somerhalder & Ninadrobev – Cancun

Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev stars of television's The Vampire Diaries flew down to Cancun, Mexico and spent three days having fun in the sun of the Mexican tropical state of Yucatan.

Ian and Nina stayed at the luxurious Ole Toro Resort Hotel, which reportedly is the hotel where several famous couples first consummated their relationships including Ryan Seacrest and Julianne Hough, Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom, and Larry King and former wives numbers 2, 3, 5, and 7.

Laguna Vendetta with Las Maracas News Agency stated that the luxurious hotel is owned by Alejandro and AlejandraBibloteca who are the owners of Mexico's national taco franchise El Taco Flaco (The Skinny Taco).

Somerhalder and Dobrev were recently named byLeft Coast Mirror Magazine as the second most recognizable celebrity couple behind Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie.

According to Miss Vendetta Ian and Nina spent a lot of time sunbathing on the pristine beaches and loved the fact that since The Vampire Diaries is not shown in the Yucatan they went virtually unnoticed.

Somerhalder confessed to Miss Vendetta that his and Nina's romance is hotter than the Mexican sun.

The couple toured the ancient Mayan ruins of Santa Cerveza where many centuries ago Mayan warriors defeated an Icelandic military expedition that was supposed to explore Poland but got lost in a category 5 hurricane and ended up shipwrecked off the coast of southern Mexico.
Nina actually found several large sea shells that the Icelandic sailors had written Icelandic jokes on.

Ian found a 90-foot tall tree that had the inscription "Iceland will one day rule all of Europe" carved into the tree bark.

The happy couple agreed that the Mayan people were definitely very small in stature as evidenced by the countless small petrified sandals that they found in the jungles which were all size 6 and smaller.

SIDENOTE: Ian wanted to bring back to the United States a little five-inch adult dwarf iguana that he found in the jungle. He contacted the Mexican Department of Customs and the director Jose E. Tamales informed him that he would have to pay an endangered species fee of 9.1 million pesos [$700,000 U.S.]. Ian simply shook his head and replied, "No way Jose."

Keck’s Exclusives: The Vampire Diaries Stars Sit Pretty

For Nina Dobrev's 23rd birthday in January, her Vampire Diaries costar and real-life boyfriend Ian Somerhalder gifted her with a deluxe, hi-tech studio set chair. It's made of sustainable bamboo and matches the one he's been sitting in. (Cost: around $1,000, Nina says.)

"It has a table that swivels around and has a seat that lifts up so you can store stuff underneath," raves Nina. "I kept stealing his, so he got me one."

Why such an extravagant purchase? "We live in them," Ian says. "I have pockets where my cell phone and pencils go, plus every gluten-free snack known to man. It's like a holistic pharmacy in there to keep me going 15 hours a day."

But costar Paul Wesley finds the chairs a big waste of money. "They're absurdly plush — with cup holders!" he says with a laugh. "My chair is crappy, but I will never get one of those expensive ones. Gotta keep it real, man. Besides, anytime [Ian and Nina] are not working, I just sit in theirs!"

Matt Davis Jumps Vampire Diaries Ship, Joins CW’s Cult

The CW has been brewing up some big programming changes for the upcoming season, with new superhero drama Arrow, chilling science fiction drama The Selection, and now Cult, featuring a crazy show within a show premise and geared toward a young adult audience. Jessica Lucas has already been tapped to star in the project as a young production assistant on a fictional TV show that is also known as Cult. Now, The CW has added one more to the cast.

The Vampire Diaries’ Matt Davis is not changing networks but may be switching shows. Davis is set to star opposite Lucas in a role that might be as stressful as that of the vampire hunter he played on his former CW gig, although certainly a trade up - at least in Cult he has zero chance of getting possessed. This time around, Davis will play Jeff, a blogger whose brother disappears as part of a weird series of missing persons and murder cases directly linked to the fictional Cult show. I’m guessing we’ll see a lot of Lucas and Davis’ characters fighting crime and attempting to solve the mystery. Whether or not a little romance will be involved between the two young, good-looking actors is yet to be determined, although we are discussing the CW, so I wouldn’t be surprised.

While Davis will be taking on a bit more responsibility with his role on Cult, if you are a fan of his Vampire Diaries character, Alaric Saltzman, this season will not be the last we see of him. Deadline is reporting Davis will reappear on the vampire drama from time to time to continue his storyline, which sounds like a sweet gig to have in your back pocket, especially when joining an untested pilot.

Ian Somerhalder: ‘Vampire Diaries’ Bad Boy Is Actually The Nice Guy

Most of the female population knows actor Ian Somerhalder for two reasons: he once played the heartbreaking Boone on ABC's long-running hit Lost and he's the bad boy half of the blood-sucking, sexy Salvatore brothers on CW's flagship series The Vampire Diaries. And while he certainly earns his nickname as the "Smoulderholder" on TVD, in real life he's about as cuddle as his multiple - yes, multiple - kittens.

In an interview with Glamour, Somerhalder discuss his love of his little feline friends as well as how to treat a lady right. Hold it together, ladies. You can swoon after you see all the photos. Not only is he willing to go the distance for the lady in his life (the current lucky lass is none other than his TVD co-star Nina Dobrev), but he's even flown to Paris just to dine with one (unnamed) lady: "Flying across the ocean for one meal was pretty awesome...It paid off!"

This commitment to romance probably stems from his take on relationships, which is also pretty swoon-worthy (almost there, girls). "If you are respectful and nice and charming to a woman, it’s a better approach. And I don’t know what women want. No one knows what women want!" he said. It's sage advice, but what would you expect from a man who's usually in character as a 170-year old vampire?

So we've learned the Somerhalder loves animals, he's romantic, and he highly respects women. Can he get any better? Yes. Yes, he can. He created the Ian Somhalder Foundation in an effort to empower kids to save the environment through their own ingenuity. "Kids are meeting in coffee shops and basements figuring out what’s unsustainable in their communities,” he says. “That’s the future.”

Well, that seals it. He is actually perfect. And the perfection continues with these photos from Glamour's "Hot Night In" feature. Just make sure you're sitting down before you scroll down.

Vampire Diaries’ Daniel Gillies Explains His Vision for an Originals Spinoff

Rose

If you’ve been a bit puzzled by the scenes between Elena (Nina Dobrev) and Elijah (Daniel Gillies) on The Vampire Diaries, you’re not alone. In a recent interview with The Los Angeles Times, Gillies himself admits he’s not quite sure what’s going on between the two. “There is something deeper than romantic. I don’t understand it with them. There is a magnetism.” He has a theory about the tension between the two — and it has nothing to do with the fact that Elena’s an exact replica of Elijah’s former love, Tatia.
“Maybe it’s Nina and I. We’re both colossal flirts,” he tells The L.A. Times. In fact, so deep is Gillies’ admiration for Dobrev that he has a tough time keeping it under wraps during filming. “I’m always having fun with her. Even the other day we had to do some rough stuff, which I can’t tell you about.” Ah, the ever-secretive TVD cast.

One thing Daniel’s very open about is how keen he is to do an Originals’ spinoff. “I can’t remember who conceived of this fantasy, whether it was myself or Joseph Morgan, or actually it might have been Julie Plec who planted this seed when we were having beers one night, but I’m pretty sure someone said, ‘Yeah, why don’t we get a corporate version of the Originals in New York that are white-collar criminals?’ Every part of that sounds amazing.”

Agreed. We’re picturing an updated version of American Psycho — though Patrick Bateman had nothing on the Originals!
